east coast travels

I just returned home from my ventures in the north. First stop was SPE (Society for Photographic Education) in Philadelphia where I met many great people, and gained some sort of insight for my future. It was swell to see everyone, and I can’t wait to see ya’ll next year in Atlanta!

Second stop was New York… the big citay!! Lots of walking required, but we wouldn’t have been able to see all the galleries and museums if it weren’t for sore feet. Our group met with professional photographer, Dan Saelinger (dansaelinger.com), to hear about the biz in NYC, and let me tell you it’s not an easy task. The city was very enlightening and opened my eyes up to a bigger future… exciting!

In the planning process of this whole trip, I decided it would be a nice break for me to take a train, or three, home from NYC. I went from NYC to D.C. to Chicago and finally in to Jackson, MS. after 50 hours, 36 of them being on a train, I am happy to be home : )

While I was in Philly, my graduating class was walking across the stage at the TAC receiving their diplomas. I was not there, but YES I did pick mine up already! I am eager to begin photographing and making books again, now that I have all this spare time.

I will soon be venturing out of Ruston to bigger places, however where I’m going has yet to be determined. Shoot me any ideas you may have ha.

Welcome to my new website!
